Port Blair: A reputed name engaged in a wide range of socio-cultural activities in the Islands, Jhumurr, is set to introduce its latest initiative, ‘Saagar Vastrika,’ through a five-day exhibition of an exclusive women’s clothing collection from August 26 to 30, 2026, at a prime location of Sri Vijaya Puram – Community Hall (NABARD Colony), Goal Ghar.
The exhibition, which will remain open from 12 noon to 8.30 p.m. each day, is being organised by the House of Designing of Jhumurr and marks the launch of its new clothing brand, Saagar Vastrika. Presented with an emphasis on elegance, style and comfort, the collection seeks to offer women a distinctive range of apparel reflecting both traditional aesthetics and contemporary sensibilities.
With the tagline ‘On Display For Only You, With Love!’, the exhibition will feature an exclusive array of products, including fine suit fabrics, ready-to-wear garments, traditional and designer sarees, and bed-sheets. Available for sale, the collection has been curated to suit varied occasions and preferences, bringing together graceful designs, practicality and comfort.
The five-day showcase will focus on exclusive designs, premium quality and a distinctive collection, offering visitors an opportunity to browse and purchase a diverse range of women’s clothing and textile products under one roof.Inspired by the emerald Islands, the ‘Saagar Vastrika’ brand adds a fresh creative dimension to Jhumurr’s socio-cultural activities. Known across the territory for its involvement in various socio-cultural initiatives, the organisation has consistently sought to create platforms for artistic expression and community engagement.
Through its House of Designing, it has also been extending this creative spirit into fashion and clothing design from time to time.
