Rangat: A major road accident occurred in Rangat around 11:00 AM when a government State Transport Service (STS) bus veered off the road and plunged into a deep ditch near St. Mary’s School. The bus was operating its regular, heavily crowded route transporting passengers and office-goers from Kadamtala to Rangat. According to initial reports, the vehicle suddenly lost control, rolled off the road, and overturned completely into the ditch, leaving the structure severely damaged.

While no fatalities have been reported, a significant number of passengers and the bus driver sustained injuries from the violent impact. The driver and several passengers who suffered severe, critical injuries were given emergency stabilization before being urgently referred to GB Pant Hospital for advanced medical care .

Meanwhile, those who sustained minor or non-life-threatening injuries were rushed to the local Rangat Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatmen. Immediately following the crash, local emergency teams—including police, medical personnel, and rescue services—rushed to the site to extricate the trapped passengers and coordinate their transfer to nearby hospitals. Further investigations into what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle are currently underway.
