48-hour Police blitz cracks ₹25-Lakh mobile heist, all 16 Premium phone sets recovered

Port Blair: In a swift, technology-driven operation, the South Andaman District Police cracked a high-value mobile phone theft worth nearly ₹25 lakh within 48 hours, arresting four accused and recovering all 16 stolen premium smartphones in what officials described as a complete success.
The breakthrough came through a coordinated effort by the Anti-Burglary Squads of Pahargaon and Aberdeen police stations, preventing substantial financial loss to the victim.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of SDPO (South Andaman) Deependra Kumar Singh, and led by Inspector Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO Pahargaon, and Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO Aberdeen. The investigation was executed by ASI Ajay Kumar Anand, HC Jairaj, Santosh Lal, Ramnag, HC(D) Majeed, PC S. Gopi and HG(V) Samsad Ali, with crucial assistance from HC Sunil Singh Yadav, Mohd. Rafique and PC Jagdish Babu of Aberdeen Police Station.

Hailing the operation as a testament to intelligence-led policing, officials said the case underscored how technology, teamwork and relentless investigation can deliver swift justice, reaffirming that crime does not pay.
