Diglipur: An employee of the Agriculture Department was found dead at the Assistant Commissioner’s Office Complex in Diglipur on Monday, prompting a police investigation. The deceased, identified as Jayanta Paul (around 40), was serving as a Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in the department and was residing in departmental quarters at Diglipur.
According to sources, Paul had reported for duty as usual before being found unresponsive inside a hall within the AC Office Complex. The matter was immediately reported to the police, who reached the spot and initiated necessary procedures. The body was later sent for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. Further details are awaited pending the outcome of the inquiry and post-mortem report.
