Mass Demonstration Held in Diglipur Over Labour Demands

A mass demonstration was held in front of the Assistant Commissioner office, Diglipur, on Tuesday, followed by a procession taken out in Diglipur bazar area in which Sunil Bepari, President, CITU Diglipur Zonal Committee and MC Prasanna Kumar, General Secretary, North Andaman Public Works Union addressed the gathering. The stir was organised to press for various demands of the Union among other strict implementation of minimum wages fixed by Labour Commissioner by private firms, shops and establishments and contractors, etc.(TPP report)
