LG meets PM Modi, discusses A&N’s development priorities and ongoing projects

Port Blair/New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dr. Dinesh Sharma, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday in his first courtesy call after assuming charge as the Union Territory’s Lieutenant Governor.

During the meeting, Dr. Sharma sought the Prime Minister’s guidance on the development priorities of the strategically important island territory. The two also held discussions on various ongoing development projects and initiatives in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The discussions focused on accelerating development in the Islands in line with the broader vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, with the UT’s infrastructure and development projects seen as important components of the long-term national development roadmap.
